Hoje venha trazer para vocês, não um filme daqueles que vocês gostam, mas estou trazendo pelo fato de eu adorar a mesma, trata-se da série Queer as Folk. Trata-se de uma série com tema GLS, não tem coroas ou ursos no filme, nem nudez, mas a história dela é excelente, abaixo segue a sinopse do seriado, recomendo a todos, mesmo se não gostar do esteriotipo dos atores da série.

Sinopse.

Queer As Folk é o nome da série norte-americana e canadense, produzida pelo canal Showtime e Temple Street Productions. O seriado foi exibido originalmente nos Estados Unidos, pelo canal Showtime e no Canadá, pelo canal Showcase, sendo transmitido entre 3 de dezembro de 2000 à 7 de agosto de 2005 (nos Estados Unidos) e entre 22 de janeiro de 2001 à 15 de agosto de 2005 (no Canadá).

O nome do seriado é uma brincadeira com um ditado em inglês, de "ninguém é tão estranho como nós" ("nobody is so weird as folk"), para "ninguém é tão gay como nós" ("nobody is so queer as folk").

Adaptado por Ron Cowen e Daniel Lipman, a série foi baseado no britânico Queer As Folk, de Russell T. Davies. O seriado foi dirigido por Russell Mulcahy, Bruce McDonald, David Wellington, Kelly Makin, John Greyson, Jeremy Podeswa e Michael DeCarlo e tendo como escritores principais Ron Cowen e Daniel Lipman. O seriado é distribuído pela Warner Bros. Television.

Queer As Folk narra a história de cinco homens homossexuais que vivem em Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania: Brian, Justin, Michael, Emmett e Ted. Compondo o elenco principal, ainda temos o casal de lésbicas, Lindsay e Melanie e a mãe orgulhosa de Michael, Debbie.

Entre as duas versões, existem suas diferenças do qual destacamos: a quantidade de personagens, as tramas principais e as cenas de nudez.

Este seriado é um marco na luta dos direitos GLBT, pois investe em uma trama sem cunho pornográfico ou apelativo, mostrando homossexuais como pessoas comuns, vivendo em seu dia-a-dia. As dificuldades e conquistas desta comunidade são brilhantemente retratadas nesta produção.

No Brasil, a série recebeu o nome de Os Assumidos e foi transmitida pelo canal à cabo Cinemax. Já em Portugal, a série foi chamada de Diferentes como nós e teve sua exibição durante as madrugadas no canal TVI. Em ambos países, nunca tiveram lançamento dos DVDs de suas temporadas.

Today will bring you not one of those movie that you like, but I'm bringing because I love it, this is the series Queer as Folk. This is a themed series GLS has no crowns or bears in the movie, not nudity, but her story is excellent, below is a synopsis of the show, I recommend to everyone, even if they do not like the stereotype of the actors in the series.

Synopsis.

Queer as Folk chronicles the story of five gay men living in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania: Brian, Justin, Michael, Emmett and Ted. Composing the main cast, we still have a lesbian couple, Lindsay and Melanie and the proud mother of Michael, Debbie.
Between the two versions, there are differences of which we highlight: the amount of characters, main plots and scenes of nudity.

This show is a milestone in the fight for GLBT rights, it invests in a plot with no pornographic or appealing, showing homosexuals as ordinary people living in their day-to-day. The difficulties and accomplishments of this community are brilliantly portrayed in this production.
In Brazil, the series was called The Assumed and was broadcast by cable channel Cinemax. In Portugal, the series was different as we called and had his view during the early morning on channel TVI. In both countries, were never released DVDs of their tours.
